Jackie received her bachelors in biology from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. She received her masters degree in biology with a specialization in ecology and evolution from University of Illinois at Springfield and her master of occupational therapy from Texas Woman’s University at Houston. She is passionate about occupational therapy as it is challenging, fulling, has a holistic approach, and is focused on incorporating activities that are meaningful to her patients. She has experience working with both pediatrics in outpatient setting and adults in acute care. She has worked with pediatric clients age birth to 21 and a variety of diagnoses, such as coordination disorders, sensory processing, neurological disorders, physical disorders, developmental delay, ASD, Down’s Syndrome, ODD, feeding difficulties, and ADHD. Furthering her knowledge in pediatric occupational therapy is an ongoing pursuit. She has taken courses on pediatric N.D.T. intensive handling techniques, S.O.S approach to feeding, and Handwriting Without Tears Program.
