Emily received both her Bachelor in Rehabilitative Sciences and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in Boston. She knew since high school that physical therapy was the perfect way to combine her love for being active with being around children! After graduation she moved to Portland, OR where she worked for 6 years at a small pediatric outpatient clinic specializing in the neurosuit and intensive therapy. At that clinic she treated children with a wide range of neurologic disorders ranging from brain injuries to cerebral palsy to genetic disorders. She also has worked in the home health setting with babies with torticollis and children of all ages with developmental delay. She enjoys expanding her knowledge base by taking continuing education courses and has taken courses in: myofascial release, kinesiotaping, NDT, torticollis and plagiocephaly, etc. She is excited to join the team at OT connection!
Emily is new to Texas, and lives in South Austin with her boyfriend and dog Frankie. In her free time she enjoys skiing, traveling, DIY projects, cooking, and being outdoors.
