Diana is originally from Austin and continues to enjoy living in the area. She earned a degree in Child Development and Family Relationships from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997. Diana worked as a lead teacher of 3 and 4 year olds in a child development center for a couple of years before deciding to pursue a career in speech pathology. She then earned a degree in Communication Disorders from Texas State University in 2002. She has worked as a speech-language pathologist for the past 16 years in a variety of settings including early childhood intervention, public schools, home health, and private therapy clinics. Diana has consistently worked in pediatrics and truly enjoys helping children improve their communication skills. She has several years of experience working with children using augmentative and alternative communication systems and supporting language development through literacy-based activities. Diana is also bilingual and speaks fluent Spanish. During her free time, she loves to travel having mostly enjoyed her past trips to Guanajuato, Mexico and Siem Reap, Cambodia. Diana also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, sewing, watching football, and flea market shopping.
