Joy grew up in between Texas, North Carolina and Florida and recently moved to the Austin area. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned her bachelor’s in Linguistics and Interpersonal Communications with a minor in Speech and Hearing Sciences.
Joy obtained her SLP-A license before completing her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at UT Health in San Antonio in May of 2020. She has experience working with both adults and pediatrics with a variety of diagnosis, including dysphagia, fluency, cognitive, articulation and language disorders. She has a passion for research, public speaking and advocating for individuals affected by speech and related disorders. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, running and photography!
